Arriving for a float session does not require any special preparation. Generally, it’s enough to show up for your reserved time with an open mind. However, here are a few tips to ensure the most comfortable and enjoyable floating experience possible.
Eating and Drinking Before Floating
We recommend eating lightly before your session. It’s best to avoid caffeine and other stimulants for at least a few hours prior to your arrival, as these may make it harder to reach a deeply relaxed state.
What Should Be Avoided?
Avoid removing body hair immediately before your session, as the high salt content of the water may cause a stinging sensation.
It’s also advised to avoid hair coloring before floating. If you have recently dyed your hair, it’s best to wait a few weeks before coming to float. A good rule of thumb is that when no color rubs off on a towel after a shower, your hair is safe for floating. We also provide swim caps if you’re concerned about the color potentially bleeding.
Arriving for Your Float Session
We recommend arriving early so that you have time to relax before your session begins. When you arrive for the first time, we’ll introduce you to the space and thoroughly explain the tank’s functions, along with general tips to make your first float as comfortable as possible. You’re welcome to ask any additional questions at any time.
What to Bring
You don’t need to bring anything with you. We provide towels, hair dryers, high-quality natural cosmetics from the Finnish brand Taiga Cosmetics, and everything you need during your stay.
We recommend floating without a swimsuit, although you are welcome to wear one if you prefer. We also suggest removing jewelry, as the goal is to minimize all sensations, including touch. This is more easily achieved when the skin is not in contact with anything.
After Floating
After your session, you can choose a warm drink from our menu, which we’ll serve to you in our cozy lounge. You are welcome to stay in the lounge for as long as you like, without any rush. We also suggest not scheduling anything immediately after your visit, allowing you to fully enjoy the post-float afterglow and simply relax.
