NEUROSONIC RESEARCH

Research-Based Health Benefits

The research supports the positive effects of vibration on metabolism, reducing stress, improving sleep quality, and enhancing overall recovery and health. These benefits are also backed by thousands of satisfied customer reviews collected since 2011.

Sleep, stress management, and recovery are global areas of interest and well-being megatrends. The attention on these topics has guided research into the effects of vibration therapy on health and well-being.

How Neurosonic Works

Neurosonic relaxation devices produce very low-frequency vibrations that soothe the autonomic nervous system. The vibrations guide the body into a meditative state, relieving stress, improving recovery, and restoring healthy sleep mechanisms. Different power and frequency ranges have various effects: For example, relaxing and restorative programs help athletes or stressed individuals recover more quickly, while activating programs boost alertness and prepare the body for upcoming performance.

A 2013 study led by sleep researcher Markku Partinen at the Helsinki Sleep Clinic examined the effects of Neurosonic low-frequency therapy on the sleep quality of patients with primary insomnia. The study included 16 individuals with sleep disturbances and used a randomized controlled trial design. Actigraphy measurements showed a significant reduction in movement during sleep, correlating with deeper sleep stages. The results also indicated significant improvements in anxiety and fear, which can heavily disrupt sleep. 70% of participants reported improvements after just five sessions, with reduced anxiety, compulsive symptoms, and fear.

In another 2013 study by Heli Haapaniemi, the effects of Neurosonic on stress and sleep disorders were examined using chair-based therapy sessions, subjective assessments, and biosignal measurements (EEG, EMG, and ECG). The findings indicated that the method influenced the autonomic nervous system, increasing parasympathetic activity, which is associated with recovery. Heart rate variability measurements also showed that individuals were more relaxed after the therapy sessions.

Neurosonic and Recovery

A 2013 study by Veera Ikonen investigated the acute effects of Neurosonic low-frequency therapy on physiological and subjective recovery variables after physical exercise. The study measured immediate effects on heart rate, heart rate variability, lactate levels, recovery sensation, and sleep quality the following night. The results indicated that even a single Neurosonic session positively impacted recovery systems and enhanced physical recovery from exercise.

Vibration's Effect on the Immune System and Inflammation

Preliminary studies suggest that whole-body vibration can reduce intestinal inflammation and offer metabolic benefits similar to exercise. One study showed that both exercise and vibration increased muscle mass and insulin sensitivity, especially in overweight individuals. Whole-body vibration also affects the immune system, increasing the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines. Research suggests that anxiety could partly result from an imbalance in gut microbiota, and balancing the gut can reduce negative stress responses.

Vibration has also been shown to improve glucose tolerance and kidney function, reduce inflammatory factors, and decrease peripheral nerve neuropathy. Vibration therapy appears to affect body composition, bone density, and fat mass as well.

All evidence suggests that vibration helps reduce inflammation in the intestines and muscles, boosts the immune system, and has positive effects on various conditions like multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and fibromyalgia prevention and treatment.

Neurosonic Is Not a Medical Device

Although there is abundant research and subjective customer experiences supporting the preventive and therapeutic effects of vibration therapy, Neurosonic is not a medical device.

It is important to note that Neurosonic does not replace prescribed medical treatments, nor does it address the root causes of musculoskeletal issues. However, it can be a supportive treatment alongside medical care, especially for improving sleep quality. Although not specifically researched for this purpose, customer experiences provide insight into its potential benefits for metabolism and circulation.
