The Epsom salt used in flotation tanks makes the water sterile by itself. The sterile salt water of the flotation tanks is circulated several times between each flotation through the tank cleaning system. In addition to mechanical cleaning, the cleaning system destroys bacteria and viruses with UV light. The water is also chemically cleaned daily with hydrogen peroxide. We monitor the purity of the water with daily tests.
The cleanliness and hygiene of floating and our operations is monitored by the health authority (Valvira). We deliver reports on measurements to the supervising authority. Our cleaning practices are based on the recommendations of the authorities of Finland and several other countries.
